Tablet News: XSlate R12 Windows 10 Pro Tablet from Xplore built with rugged technology could withstand any temperature, waterproof and 'unbreakable' in the midst of extreme dangers


The Xplore XSlate R12 Dynamic built with rugged technology will receive high reviews from its consumers along with high results in water, dust, shock tests and tablet benchmark. The tablet running on Windows 10 Pro is also indicated to allow users to use the tablet outside the house and work with complete ease and care.

According to Channel Life, Xplore's XSlate R12 tablet received high tablet benchmark scores from several tests. The 12.5-inch screen tablet with an FHD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, or 176ppi that is high as compared to other android tablet resolution. The tablet features a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7500U along with 8GB of RAM paired with 512GB. The tablet also has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera.

Configuration options include a 6th generation Core i5-6200U, Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Professional processor and 256GB or 128GB of SSD storage. An option called SlateMate adds a barcode scanner and a RFID reader.

Regarding the physical appearance of Xplore's XSlate R12, it was shown to be 328.5 mm wide by 207.5 mm deep by 19 mm thick and weighing 1.34 kg. The elastic tablet also has an 800-nit brightness that was mentioned to allow users to use it in all lighting conditions, even outside the home and work.

With that said, Xplore's XSlate R12 mentioned being protected by a tough Gorilla Glass 4 that makes it harder to break amidst four-foot drops. The stylus of the dynamic tablet could be seen attached to it by a rope so it would not be lost. While another optional tablet accessory is its complimentary keyboard that is attached to the tablet via magnets by ZDNet.

The Xplore Durable XSlate R12 tablet has also received an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and a C1D2 compatible rating has been obtained for use in hazardous locations. It was noted that the rubber along the sides of the tablet helps users to firmly grasp the tablet and make them withstand any shock if they ever fall.

The tablet version of the Xplore XSlate R12 tablet may be available for the price of $ 3299. Meanwhile, its Celeron-powered model was estimated at around $ 2299.
