In some notebook PC or laptop models, there is a special button or function key combination Fn + (F3, F5, F6, ...) to turn on and off the trackpad. Activate the proper key combination on keyboard to enable Touchpad again.
If the problem persists, click Start> Settings> Devices. Locate the Mouse and Touchpad related Settings and click additional Mouse settings to open the Mouse Properties dialog box. This box will show, if the touch pad is disabled. If so, just select Enable so that touchpad can work again. Click Apply and OK to exit.
Windows 10 has installed an incompatible driver
During the upgrade process, Windows 10 will install new drivers on your system. In some cases, these drivers are not compatible with the current hardware. Click Start to display the advanced user menu, and select Device Manager. Expand the section Mice and other pointing devices, and then click the button panel features.
Click Rollback Driver and follow the on-screen instructions to return your already installed drivers.
