Some Android Lollipop users affected by critical' battery drain issue and Lollipop battery drains very rapidly. It seems that some users of Android were affected by a problem of battery consumption on mobile versions of Android Lollipop 5.x running smart phones of android.

As Reported the issue on the site, Issue Tracker Android, Android 5.x Lollipop multiple users say the battery level falls steadily when applications start to use mobile data instead of WiFi. 

The thread includes comments from users complain of applications like Google now Launcher and android chrome browser eat mobile data too much.

One of the users reported "massive battery discharge by active mobile radio. 8 hours of phone idle, the total of complete inactivity state of phone, even the screen was not on for a second and ate 63 percent of the battery. 3G was in up. It seems the problem disappears when Wi-Fi is enabled. " 

Another user said: "Even in my Nexus 5 with Lollipop 5.1 I have the same problem only active 3G or LTE Mobile Radio but Ok with Wi-F enabled". 

Notably, the tracker includes complaints from the owners of non-Nexus devices as well such as the HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S6, Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) and HTC One M8. 

Google has yet to recognize the problem and provide a solution. 

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Android users have reported the problem of battery drain as the problem has existed for some time. A problem similar battery drain was reported last year, so multiple Nexus 5 owners run the latest version of Android 5.0 Developer Preview Lollipop reported battery drain bug, while Wi-Fi. Google, however last year without losing long recognized the problem of battery drain and issued a prompt solution.
